Grunge by Calvin Klein

I was asked to be a curator of Grunge inspired clothes lookbook picked up by me for one article and it was a pleasure to do that. It moves you as flashback to my early teens when it was about maxi dresses, neons, caps and checked shirts tied around the waist. I opted for quite sophisticated Grecian maxidress by Calvin Klein today [you could see me in this dress and grunge style during NY Fashion Week] and peep toe booties. The bag is by Topshop and the cardigan is by Topman. Sorry for blurry pictures, I just have found out my camera has weak battery. And time for me to get rid off baggy and oversized dresses, including this one.

Chambray

Chambray minidressI know it isn’t summer time yet but I went through piles of winter and spring/summer clothes recently and I have found the chambray dress. It is always nice suprise to figure out what you own for hidden gems, even it is H@M. The chambray was always my favourite fabric, it reminds me denim but it has all pros of cotton, great for hot days. I tried for the second time my Jeffrey Campbell’s sandals with skyscraper heels. Sorry for the break as I was busy – two day photo shoot.

Florals

I know florals are everywhere this spring/summer time, mainly double floral patterns but my photo is two years old. Maybe I repeat myself, posting older snaps, but I wanted to show you a part of my life as well as design. We know advantage of real silk fabric – natural and breathable  fibre, amazing on touch, comfortable, beautiful print. My dress is based on 1950s style and it comes by my label Bohemia Dress, made from silk by British fabric mill. The floral design is rare, you could see it only on the scarf of another lady, but I love the dress for the cut and the material. Silk is great for summer. Add sexy heels and you are ready for meeting friends and enjoying London life. I did certainly as I was based in the countryside and two weekends per months when I went down to London were my opportunity to dress up.

I enjoyed peaceful life in bolthole, having spare time to do what I wanted to do and be in charge of my own time, schedule and destiny than working from 9-5 or endless hours in City. I was able to enjoy myself, develop fashion label but I’m glad to be back, except the crazy schedule right now. Looking back on these photos of me with long hair, I see a weekender behind me and it reminds me I have never cut ties with London and friends:]] Well, probably you need to try to fullfil every dream and make your wish to be a reality. I’d say it was me-time when I tried to escape the faith and destiny of well trained monkey with programmed life and path, from childhood so obedient to be great, ideal and according father’s demands, wishes or just pushed by life to be responsible, have a burden of duties on the shoulders when father was injured than having fun. You know the effect of boomerang. It’s like a loop, here we are…back in big towns and with paperwork. In heels.

Baroque in Vancouver

I have spent couple days in Western part of Canada and our talk was very much about weather. Vancouver is warm like during Olympics in 2010 and you smell spring in the air. Winnipeg was frosty and icy. I attended Royal Winnipeg Ballet Gala over weekend and it could be Swan Lake on frozen ice. People told me how they moved straight into sweltering heat and blood-thirsty mosquitoes of a Prairie summer last year. We spoke about prolonged NHL lock out and winter out here. We had temperature around zero, slippery pavements and I could forget to think about a trip to Regina, that’s why I decided to fly to Vancouver and see friends of mine. There is always nature around the corner to escape from urban space.

Mad Men fabric

I like 1960s and I got a DVD box with Mad Men. If you watch it on TV you know they moved to swinging 1960s with bolder colours and more patterns on clothes. Beehive is new style and make up took inspiration from Twiggy and her fluttering eyelashes, thick eyeliner. Add pointed heels and maybe you will like our range of dresses. Just quick sneak peek as I prepare small project for the blog. Stay tuned.

Kate Spade shop event

I was invited to attend a shop event featuring new beauties of spring collection by Kate Spade last week in London, just on the same day I landed in UK after exhausting flight from Big Apple. Kate Spade is American brand and NYC flag ship store is an epicenter of all amazing pieces but I was enchanted by some pieces. I like Kate Spade for vibrant colours and good playful tone of her design.

I bought a yellow skirt with stripes, a phone cover and a tablet book cover. I received the t-shirt, a pair of earings and something more…I have found new friend here and things you can’t buy – having fun, great evening, good chat and seeing nice design and customer service. You know girlie evening:]]

Healthy Eating Probiotics

I was asked many time to publish my meal diary and exercise plan. I’d start with healthy balanced diet and I mean eating everything, reasonable portions and exercise than starving yourself. I found recently how many girls started using soya milk and freak from every calorie in skinny latte. I don’t see the point why you don’t buy normal espresso and natural healthy products. I start with yogurt. I use whole milk. People from yogurt eating regions such as Georgia, Armenia, Turkey and Bulgaria are renowned for their longevity. You know product helps inside and outside and beauty is external and internal. Do you know there was King Yogurt back in time of Old Rome Empire?
